Set a spell, take your shoes off, ya'll come back now, ya hear?
I was in my senior year in high school when that happened. I think the worst part was seeing all the kids whose parents worked in the city, all silent and stone-faced as one by one they were called down to the office. Too many kids in my school lost their parents that day.
I know that those of us who are "of an age" (I have to say that because there are kids in high school who weren't even born yet) will never forget where they were.
I was just starting work and heard about the plane. My immediate thought was f the airplane that hit the Empire State Building but I also thought it was weird since we have gained so much in technology. Just a short time later I heard of the second plane and then I knew. I just watched a special on this and am always humbled by the men and women who escaped death and who stood up to it. I will never forget
You'll learn tomorrow where I was (NOTE: Obnoxious tease). But, I remembered thinking that something like a Cessna had blundered into the building.
Even after all these years---CHILLING!
I was listening to radio transmissions from the aircraft on that day. You nailed it. Chilling.
Was in English class, didn't even get the full brunt of it until saw it all on TV when I came home.
Still tough to comprehend
15 years on and we still really find it hard to understand why, if we ever could since sane people who love life wouldn't do such a terrible thing
